Obituary of Jim Lane

Age 70 of Halifax, passed away on September 21, 2022 at the Victoria General QEII site. Born in Halifax he was the son of Frederick A. Lane and Joyce E. Lane. Jimmy was a member of the ILA Halterm, he had a love for fishing, playing cards, and pool. Jimmy’s pride and joy was his only grandson Jonathan in whom you always saw together whether it was riding the scooter for hours around long lake, the basketball court, Tim Hortons, or Dairy Queen for an ice cream. Jonathan will truly miss these special times with his grandfather. He is survived by his spouse, Sherry Campbell; son, Mark Douglas Campbell; sisters, Joyce (Doug) Lamb, Wendy Lane (Greg Gardiner); grandson, Jonathan James Campbell; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Frederick Albert; brother, Fred (in infancy). There will be a private family burial. A special thank you to Dr. Snow, Nurse Victoria, and all the staff 5A, Victoria General Centennial site. Donations in memory of Jimmy can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
