GODDARD, Orilla (Ella) Clara (Mosher), Age 95, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home. Born in Windsor, NS on October 10, 1926, Ella was the daughter of the late Loran and Clara (Gallagher) Mosher. For a brief period of time, Ella was employed at Sears, however, she dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church for 62 years plus an active participant on the social committee and famous for her Brown-Eyed Susan Cookies. Ella and her husband, Garnet, were members of the Gideons International (ShareWord Global). She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Clint) Giffin of Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Tracy (Sam) Holliss of Mississauga, ON and Troy (Kathy) Goddard of Woodstock, ON; great-grandsons, Ryan and Brayden Holliss and step great-grandson, Adrian Chan; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Goddard (partner Ken) of Mississauga, ON and several nephews and nieces. Ella was predeceased by her husband, Garnet and her son, Garnet Jr. (partner Susan); sisters, Georgina Foley, Marjorie LeBlanc and Mary Dearman; brothers, Elmer Mosher, Jim Mosher, Clarence (Bud) Mosher, John (Claire) Mosher and twins in infancy. Ella was the last surviving member of her family. Ella’s family extends special thanks to the staff of the fourth floor at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home for their compassionate care over the past ten months. A Celebration of Ella’s Life, conducted by Rev. Gary Barrett, will take place at Full Gospel Church, 2256 Larry Uteck Blvd., on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm. After the service, a reception will be held in the fellowship hall. A private family interment will take place following the reception.
