Eric "Bud" Collier Obituary

Eric (Bud) Collier, 83, of Shad Bay, N.S., passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Palliative Care Centre of the V.G. Hospital, surrounded by all his family. Bud was born in Shad Bay, a son of Eric and Hallie (Yeadon) Collier.


An electrician by trade, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, bowling, carving, sports and playing crib.


He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon (Kemp) Collier; daughters, Laurie (Richard) Brown and Karen Collier; son, Brant (Krista) Collier; grandsons, Tyler (Julie Pelton) Brown and Evan (Jessica Shannon) Brown; and granddaughters, Julie (Allan) Clow and Kelsie (Will Poirier) Collier; and great-granddaughter, Ella Grace.


He was predeceased by sister, Jean Grant; and brother, George Collier.


A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the Prospect Road Community Centre, 2141 Prospect Road, N.S.


A special thank you to the staff of 7A Palliative Care Centre for their wonderful care and guidance. Also, the family would like to thank Joann, the music therapist from the joy she brought Bud in his last days.
