Obituary of Michael Hanrahan

Harvey Michael Hanrahan,81 Dominion, NS It is with deep sorrow that we the family of Harvey Michael Hanrahan, 81 of Dominion, NS, announce his passing on September 3, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS. Born in Glace Bay, Michael was the son of the late Michael Edward and Mary Flora (McNeil) Hanrahan. Dad work for many years with the Steel Plant, in Coal Mines, driving Taxi, and later in life at Stream. Family meant the world to dad, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping trips out on the Mira, as well as a good game of Darts. As his health declined, dad appreciated staying close to home watching Western Movies, and reading old stories about Cape Breton. Michael is survived by sons: Vincent (Paulette) Hanrahan, and Christopher Hanrahan; daughters: Charlotte (Chris Isenor) Hanrahan, and Stephanie (Kenneth Morrison) Hanrahan; brothers: Richard (Georgette) Hanrahan, Roy Hanrahan, and Danny Hanrahan; a sister: Mary (Joey) Boutilier; as well as four grandchildren: Bryden Hanrahan, Michael Frison, Brayden hanrahan-Glover, and Myah Isenor, and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, Michael is predeceased by his loving wife, Deborah (MacNeil) Hanrahan. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902-849-4199. Visitation for the late Michael Hanrahan will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Danny Boudreau presiding. Reception to be held following the Service at The Gardiner Mines Community Hall, Seaside Dr., Gardiner Mines, N.S. The family of the late Michael Hanrahan would like to thank the staff at VON, City Homemakers, the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, and the Palliative Care Team, for all the care and support given during our dad’s ill health.
