Obituary of Vaunda Irene Vacon

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vaunda Vacon at Hospice Halifax on August 26th, 2022. She was the daughter of Lawrence John and Annie Elizabeth (Spidle) Vacon, Mahone Bay, NS. She was predeceased by her parents; her granddaughter, Lauren Hope Ogilvie; and sister, Pearl (Lindsay) Zwicker. She is survived by her son, Robert (Julie) Ogilvie; granddaughters, Alexandria (Alex), and Talia Ogilvie; and sister, Norine (David) Beck, Lunenburg. Vaunda spent her adult working life as a medical laboratory technologist for forty years between the Dickson Building (old QEII) and the IWK Hospital for Children. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Halifax and the South Shore Regional Hospital, (especially Kimberlea Carlow-Berkeley & Amy Fredericks) for their care.
