Leone “Ownie” Carnall (MacIntosh)

Leone Kathleen Carnall formerly of Ronald St Glace Bay, age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay.
Born in Glace Bay, Ownie was the daughter of the late Leo and Kathleen (Dunlop) MacIntosh.
She was employed for many years at Devco and greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. Ownie was a devoted member of Holy Cross Parish and is survived by her husband, Wilfred, sisters, Colette (Bernie Livingston), Doreen (Edmund Mullins); brother, Barry (Diane) MacIntosh and her sister in law, Carol MacIntosh.
Ownie was predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Eric MacIntosh (and sister-in-law Jean MacIntosh)
She was a second mother to her nephews, Peter Ed Mullins (Shanda), James Leo Mullins (Winter) and niece,Alana MacLeod (Mackie). Ownie is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews whom she cherished.
Ownie loved her summers at Lake Ainslie fishing with Wilf and enjoyed family gatherings around the campfire.
In winter, Ownie and Wilf loved to snowmobile with many wonderful friends.
Many thanks to Seaview Manor for the excellent care given to Ownie over the years, she was truly a beautiful and gentle soul.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at 10 am Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay, Tuesday, August 16th with mass following at 11 with Fr.Norman MacPhee persiding. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, N.S. (902 849-4199). Burial to take place at St.Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay, following the mass.
