Beverley Dale Stewart Magee age 78 of Timberlea passed away peacefully on August 4, 2022, at the QEII Hospital. Born in Greenwood NS he was the son of the Late Lester and Olive (Marshall) Magee.
Bev was an iron worker for RKO Steel for more than 40 years, retiring at the age of 64. He was previously employed with N.S Tractor’s where he began his trade in iron work. Within his career, he was looked upon as a mentor and leader to all. Everyone wanted to be on “Team Bev”.
When he wasn’t working, he could be found at Scotia Speed World cheering on the Smith Brothers, “back the Mersey” fishing or in Brookfield hunting with his best bud Raymond.
He enjoyed making memories with his family. Whether celebrating a birthday, a graduation, or a big team win, he was always there to show his love and support. To him his family was his greatest achievement.
Survived by his wife, Sheila (Coffill) Magee of 56 years; 2 daughters, Shelley Magee (David Smikle), Heather (Tony Kelsie); 4 Grandchildren, Narissa Crawford-Daniels (Kevin Daniels), Bria Lucas (Adam Jeary), Jordan, and Anthony Kelsie; 2 great-grandchildren, Satara Crawford, Braydon Daniels; and many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Olive Magee ; brothers, Cyril, Carroll, Bertwell, Byron ; sister Thelma Spinney
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax (902) 835-4212, where visitation will be held on Friday September 16, 2022, from 6pm-8pm, followed by a celebration of Life on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel with Pastor Josh Crawford officiating.
