James Arnold Clarke, 74
Glace Bay, NS
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother, James Arnold Clarke, 74, on July 26, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Arnold (Ace) was born in Inverness to the late James and Catherine (McPhee) Clarke on January 12, 1948.
He was a 32-year employee with Devco and after retirement, he worked at Canadian Tire Store, Sydney. In his early years, Arnold was active in baseball, broomball, and darts, as well as an avid Montreal Canadians fan.
Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 49 yrs., Vangie (McNeil), daughter Kim (Francie), and four grandsons whom he adored, LJ, Hunter, Hayden, and Chase, they will miss their Poppy. Arnold is also survived by his brother, Neil (Diane), as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Blaise, mother and father-in-law, Alex, and Kaye McNeil.
Visitation for the late Arnold Clarke will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902)849-4199.
