Obituary of Robert Alan Glencross

Robert Alan Glencross died on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Colchester East Hants Heath Centre, Truro.
Alan (as he was known to his family and Robert/ Rob to his friends) was born in Antigonish, NS to the late Parker and Albena (Hallett) Glencross.
He graduated from the University of Waterloo as an electrical engineer. His love of technology took him to the DEW Line in Northern Canada and then to Saudi Arabia as a communications Specialist. The stories he told about these fascinating places and cultures will long be remembered. He travelled the world and told us stories of his memorable adventures. Alan had an abiding interest in world politics, science, music and was a voracious reader. He was truly a Renaissance man.
He is survived by brothers, David (Leslie); sisters, Caroline Hominchuk, Ruth Schmitt; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by parents; brothers; Reginald, Gary, and Eric; sisters, Joyce Fox, Margaret Mosher, Ann Parsons, Joan (in infancy); special niece, Kim Hominchuk.
Special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, E3 Wing, for the excellent care Alan received.
