Obituary of Joseph (Joe) Martin Mischiek

Joseph Martin Mischiek, 81 Glace Bay, NS It is with deep sorrow, that we the family of Joseph (Joe) Martin Mischiek announce his passing on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family at his side. Joe was born in Glace Bay, NS, to the late Joseph and Catherine (Gouthro) Mischiek. Joe was a Miner in his earlier years, and in later years he became the owner and operator of his own garage. Singing and playing guitar were a couple of things that Joe enjoyed doing, along with being an avid bingo player, where he met many friends along the way, and these friendships lasted throughout Joe’s lifetime. Joe is survived by his loving wife Joan, as well as several family and extended family members. He will be forever missed by his special dog Pepper. In honoring Joe’s wishes, there is no service. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902-849-4199.
