It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Beverly MacNeil on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, due to complications of Covid 19.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Billie and Christie MacMullin. She was a member of the former St. Anthony’s Parish.
Bev was a stay at home mom to her children, Cheryl (Dan) MacDonald, children, Chad (Holly) and Alicia (Ray); Lynette MacNeil (Donnie), children Taylor(Blair) and Brett; Trevor (Ella)MacNeil, children Brooke and Camryn; Ronnie (the late) his children, Crystal (Darcy), Corey, Dakota, Conor and Kate. She is also survived by a sister, Norma LeBlanc and she was a nanny to 10 very grateful great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Gussie, a son Ronnie (Crystal (Darcy), Corey, Dakota, Conor, and Kate). She was also predeceased by brothers Billie and Gerard, and a sister Jean Young.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to her family physician Dr. Mark Ellerker, New Waterford Home Care and VON. Special thanks to the Regional Hospital, ER Dept. and to the unit 4D for providing exceptional care to our mom in her last days. We will be forever grateful.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Holy Cross Parish, Seaview St., with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating.
