Obituary of Mary "Debbie" Deborah Hynes LeBlanc

Mary Deborah “Debbie” Hynes LeBlanc Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Debbie Hynes LeBlanc, age 65 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Ursula (Whalen) Hynes. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandsons in Fort St. John and when they came to visit Cape Breton. She was an avid walker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also cherished the students she worked with at Glace Bay Elementary as a lunch, bus, and grounds supervisor. Debbie is survived her loving husband of 42 years, Tom LeBlanc; son, Jason (Darcy) Hynes; daughter, Tiffany Hynes (Jamie); two precious grandchildren, Tristan, and Kalen Hynes; four brothers, Dougie (Barb), Tony (Yvonne), Andy (Helen) and David (Cathy); five sisters, Sally O’Brien, Alice Hynes Lahey, Chery (Kevin) Holland and Barbie (Kevin) Van Hove; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dave, and Ursula, she was predeceased by her son Thomas; brother, J.O. Hynes and sister, Patricia Campbell. Visitation for the late Debbie Hynes LeBlanc will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., with a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding, all taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St. Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wallace Rd. Glace Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. A special thank you to Dr. Trevor Guy, nurses, and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, particularly nurses Lenore, Vicki and Erin Dillon as well as close family friends and neighbours, Roxanne, Sherry, and Toni.
