Margaret Marie “Peggy” Hiscott
Glace Bay
Our Peggy passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (MacLellan) Hiscott, Glace Bay. Peggy’s working years were spent with the CBRM, mostly in Police Services at Central and Glace Bay divisions. She truly enjoyed her work with her friends and co-workers, both uniformed and civilian. They were the reason she loved her job.
Peggy is survived by her brothers: Jack (Barb Goodine) and his sons, Noel and Corey; Danny (Cory) and their sons, Jordie (Janice) their son Owen; Neal, Edwin (Nathalie) and their daughter, Abby; and Michael.
Peggy held much love for her nephews, as they did for her. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents – John Angus and Margaret MacLellan; John and Janet Hiscock; and nephew Cody Andrew Hiscott.
In respecting her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Instead, a committal service will be held at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, joining her parents, the time and date to be posted at a later date.
We would like to thank all the wonderful people at the Cape Breton Cancer Center, Palliative Care, especially Michelle Finney, who was so attentive toward Peggy and Glace Bay Hospital nurses for the excellent care and concern for Peggy. As well as, Dr. Carol Boutilier, Dr. Kian Khodadad, his nurse Eleanor, Dr. Sandra Wajstaub, radiation and chemotherapy staff, who were so kind to her. To the VON nurses and home care ladies, thank you for looking after her so well. Special thanks to Fran and Greg Martin, for being such good neighbors and friends for so many years; and to cousins, Jeanette Hiscock, Sandra Morrison, and her husband John for being there along the way.
Suggested memorial donations- Palliative Care, and Cape Breton Cancer Center.
