Mary Cecilia Duder, 69 Glace Bay It is with sadness that we the family of Mary Cecilia Duder announce her passing at the An Cala Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, with her family at her side. Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Cecil and Frances Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Ferguson) Duder. For many years, Mary worked at Woolworth’s in Glace Bay and the CO-OP, on Reserve St., Glace Bay. Mary loved gardening and all animals, most importantly her beloved fur baby Monty. Mary is survived by her sisters: Brenda (Eugene) and Carol (Eric); nieces and nephews: Cecil (Erin), Darrell (Courtney); Eric, Carl (Jo-Ann), as well as grand nieces and nephews: Bethany, Georgia, Penny, Kirsten, Logan, John, and Colin. Along with her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her baby brother Angus in infancy. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, 902-849-4199. Funeral Services will be held at Warden United Church, Glace Bay at 2 p.m. Interment to be held at a later date. Special thankyou to the Palliative care team at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a Charity of one’s choice.
