Olive and family - We just heard about Uncle's passing. How sad, I don't know what Ma and Da would have done without you as their neighbors for all so many years after the kids left home. Uncle was such a presence and always had a joke or two. I'm sure it will be quiet without his humour. You were there to help Ma & Da always and they knew that about you and actually became dependent on you for support offered out of sheer kindness especially in the later years. Thank you Uncle and Olive for the many things you have done for my parents and for being such great neighbors and friends; we are eternally grateful.
Please accept our deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Johnnie & Helen Windsor

To Billy, Basil and the entire Marsh Family,
Saddened to hear of the passing of a Lingan Legend. Uncle was my first Jr. Coordinator at the club and he always looked after us. He was a great man that we looked up to. He will be sadly missed.
Rest easy my friend,

We are thinking of you all and we are so sorry for this loss in the family. Uncle James was always so funny (even saying my name in silly voices) when we visited Cape Breton, I was always so happy and excited to see him. I love reading all these stories and memories. Uncle was always around growing up. A honk of the horn and wave as he passed the house on the Haulage Road, his visits for a cup a tea and of course all the good memories when it came to the Marsh passion for golf. Rest in peace "Uncle" James.

Uncle was always part of our family and we had great conversations about growing up in Reserve and our family ties! We used to have so many laughs over who was who! We will cherish so many fond memories of him and Basil coming for Christmas visits! Uncle will be greatly missed. I’ll miss not yelling something to him while driving by. It will be very sad indeed to not see him walking Cooper. Uncle was always willing to help out anybody and was such a kind person. An Understatement about being an awesome golfer!! He was truly loved and worked hard for the Our community. Our hearts are saddened indeed.

Our deepest sympathy to Olive and family as well to the Marsh brothers, sisters and all who knew Uncle James. I’ll forever have fond memories of Uncle putting on the tea at Nanny & Grand Dad when we’d arrive from NB during my childhood. Loved hanging out at Marsh’s Esso with him and Grand Dad. They always let us have pop from the old time pop machine.
Rest In Peace Uncle, you will be dearly missed.

Our sincere condolences to Olive and her family from Stephen and Kelly Marsh’s family as well as Cynthia (Gerry) Marsh. God bless James and may you all find peace. I (Stephen) have some very fond memories of James. I was so thrilled, as his caddy, when he had won the club championship. He played a huge part for my love of golf. Also so many fond memories hanging around the ESSO with James when we vacationed in Cape Breton.
