Carol Ann Watkins Maidment, 65 Glace Bay It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann announce her sudden passing on April 27, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born and raised in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Alexander MacDougall and Beulah Jean (Turnbull) MacDougall. Carol was “ma,” grandma, wife, sister, auntie, and a friend to many. She loved to sing and was a long-time member of the Coal Town Chorus. Carol also loved children and spent many years as a pre-school teacher at Townhouse. She will always be remembered for her love of life, her beautiful singing voice and for the affection she showed to those around her. She loved being around people and spending time chatting with them to get to know them and having a good laugh. Carol also enjoyed camping and spending time with her “Lakeview Treasures family” as she and Roy spent as much time as possible there each summer where she enjoyed having her son Brent play the guitar and sing all the songs she was requesting. Everyone was welcome.
