Obituary of John Bruce MacKinnon

MacKinnon, John Bruce, Age 85, Cole Harbour, NS passed away on April 26, 2022. Born in Glenmartin, P.E.I., son of Alexander and Jessie MacKinnon. Bruce worked at many jobs over the years and was very good at all of them. Most notably were driving/RST industries as a fuel delivery driver. He received many awards for his safe driving record. He was a member of the Buffalo Club in Cowbay, NS. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his numerous buddies back at the camp. He also enjoyed his time at the garage with Roy and Ross Horne (many stories there, I’m sure) Survived by his wife Irene MacKinnon (Brown); sons, Dan and Rob MacKinnon; daughter, Wendi MacKinnon; stepdaughters, Lori, Charlene and Patty; stepsons, Cleyle and Aaron; brother, Clifford (Donna) MacKinnon; grand kids, Mark, Amanda, Mathew, Cory, Darcy and Michelle and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he loved and enjoyed being with so much. Predeceased by his first wife Sylvia MacKinnon (Hatherly); brother, Allen MacKinnon. There will not be a visitation or service as this is what Bruce has requested. He will be laid to rest at Mount Herman Cemetery on Victoria Road, Dartmouth, NS. at a later date.
