Obituary of Edith Delores Green

Edith Delores Green (Lolly), Glace Bay, NS It is with my deepest sorrow and heaviest of hearts I announce the passing of my dearest Mother, best friend, and biggest inspiration in my life. Edith Delores Green (Lolly) passed away April 25th, 2022, at the age of 83 with her son by her side. Mother’s kindness, generosity, love, and friendship have been felt by the many people she touched throughout her life. Her ability to endure and persevere life with a smile and kindness, no matter what it sent her way has been the biggest inspiration to me in my life. The undying love I received from my Mother will carry me throughout the rest of my life, especially knowing she is waiting for me when my time has come. Mother is survived by her loving and devoted son Joseph (Joey) MacLean, Maui Hawaii; Daughter Darlene (Covington) Budden, Cape Breton, Sister Dorothy (Roger) McLeod, Sand Lake, NS, two grandchildren, and four great grand children. Mother was predeceased by her son Thomas (Tommy) McLean; Mother and Father, Edith and Gordon Green, Donkin, NS; Brother Kenneth Green (Phyllis), Homeville, NS. At Mother’s request, there will be no viewing nor funeral services. Cremation has taken place, under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Also, at Mother’s request she will be returning to Maui with me for internment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Mother has asked donations be made to a charity of your choice in aid of either animals or support of senior assistance programs in the local community.
