Patricia Ann Landry (72), Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Patricia Landry, passed away on April 19, 2022 at Hospice Halifax after a battle with cancer at the age of 72. Patricia (Pat), born to Ronald Victor Rennehan of Cape Island, NS and Vivian Victoria Rennehan (McEwan) of Stanley Bridge, PEI, on May 29, 1949, in Halifax, NS. Pat was predeceased by both of her parents, her in-laws, Alfred and Lucy (Mattie) Landry of Mattie Settlement and Pomquet, NS, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by many loving family members, including her husband, Leonard (Len/Lenny) of Cole Harbour, NS; daughter, Tanya of Calgary, AB; son, Dean (Brenda) of Sussex, NB, granddaughters, Kayleigh (Tim) Hayes and Kamryn Landry of Sussex, NB, sisters Pamela (Don) Lohnes and Paula Rennehan of Halifax, NS. Pat was an active member of Hillside Wesleyan Church. She was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of her Hillside church family. Now that Pat has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Pat’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. In 2018, Pat retired from her role at CAE in Halifax, NS where she’d spent her final years of her career, allowing her to spend more time on her passion for travel. She and Len were blessed to have taken many wonderful trips over the years, meeting many great people along the way – she loved cruises and one of her favourite spots was the Hawaiian Islands. Her passion for travel lives on in her family as each trip they take, they’ll carry a piece of her in their hearts with them. There will be a Celebration of Life for Pat on Wednesday, April 27th, 2pm at Parkway Campus (80 Chameau Cres. Dartmouth, NS). The service will be live streamed on the church’s website. A reception will follow in the Celebration Center. Burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank those who helped care for Pat and Len in recent months and weeks including those who brought food, sent cards, flowers and notes of encouragement. Your love and support mean so much! Special thank you to RN Patrick and his team on the VG Palliative Care unit and the staff of Hospice Halifax for taking such good care of Pat during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillside Wesleyan Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
