Sharon Ann (MacVicar) Nega Reserve Mines We regret to announce the passing of Sharon Ann (MacVicar) Nega of Station Street, Reserve Mines on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born on Oct 16th, 1952, Sharon was the daughter of the late Michael and Pearl (McNeil) MacVicar. She is survived by her son Jayce (Crystal and Scott Karma), grandchildren Rayne (Jay) and Daede; brothers, Danny (Treena) and Kevin (Valerie) both of Redcliff Alberta; sister-in-law Anita MacVicar of Dominion; nieces Marla & Monica; goddaughter Andrea, and special cousins Catherine Taylor and Paulette Anderson. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Leo Doyle Jr, a baby in infancy, her brother Billy and a special person in her life, Roy Thomas Jewells. Sharon was a faithful volunteer of 22 years at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Facility, she was also a member of the Reserve Mines Seniors/Pensioners Club and the Sunday Night Dart League as well as a member of the Cursillo Movement of Glace Bay. The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Spencer, Dr. Butler, Dr. Hewlett, Lily MacDonald, Carol Strong, and Myrtle Campbell. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 5 p.m. with Lily MacDonald presiding at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. At the request of the family, masks are required. Burial in St. Luke's Cemetery will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ally Centre of Cape Breton located at 150 Bentinck Street, Sydney or you can Pay It Forward with an act of kindness.
