Early in his career, David obtained a professional certification in Cooking and shared in a partnership running a successful Pizza Delight franchise. His work as a Chef at the Lord Nelson Hotel and on the passenger train for VIA Rail Canada was a reflection of his continued joy in cooking. In addition to his culinary career, David was well known as a Taxi driver for the Casino Taxi service in Halifax. In retirement, David enjoyed being a crossing guard, helping elementary school students in Spryfield. David’s passion for good food was rivaled only by his enthusiasm for baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays.
