Terrance (Terry) Jewells Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Terrance (Terry) Jewells on April 5th, 2022, at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home. Born in Port Morien on March 14, 1949. Dad was the son of the late Susan Jewells (Glace Bay) and Robert (Bobby) Jewells (Port Morien). In his earlier years dad worked as a coal miner at 26 Colliery. Dad was known fondly for his love of a great game of cribbage with friends while all the time having great debates over the weather. Dad is survived by daughters Patricia (Gary) Fukala, Donna Jewells (Billy MacKeigan); sons Terry, Allan (Darlene Glover) and Lawrence. Dad also leaves behind his grandchildren Ashley, Ryan and Shane Fukala, Nathan and Kaylee Colson, Kyra Jewells and three great grandchildren and one due to arrive in August; sisters Mary, Annette and Kathleen and a brother Lawrence (Sandra); sisters-in-law Joan and Eileen. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family of cousins. Predeceased by his wife of 51 years Jean, brothers Kenny, Matthew, Bobby, Errol (Linda) and Lewis. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home. Cremation has taken place. A chapel service and celebration of life will be on Monday April 11th, 2022, at 11a.m. with Fr. Daniel Boudreau presiding, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Words of comfort may be expressed to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com.
