Michelle Lee Currie Glace Bay It is with great sadness that, we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved Michelle Lee Currie at the Glace Bay Hospital on April 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Naish and Connie Currie. Michelle was a stay-at-home mom and loved sitting around the table enjoying time with friends and family. She was well known and had some special friends at the Radio Club. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Allan MacLean; sons, Deryk (Kristalee), Anthony (Victoria), Jeremy (Taylor), Tyler, and Bryson; daughters, Amber, Kara, and Alyssa (Kyle); brother, Naish (Jacqueline) Currie; sister, Winnie (Darryl) Hart, as well as her nine grandchildren, mother and father in-law Allie and Valerie MacLean, aunts, uncles, and several nieces and nephews. Michelle was predeceased by brother, Freddie (Sheila) Currie; sister, Florence Currie in infancy; grandparents, Harry and Winnie Murphy, and Guy and Sarah Currie. The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the third floor at the Glace Bay General Hospital, as well as the staff at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Glace Bay. In honoring Michelle's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 11:00 am with Fr. Boudreau officiating at T.J. Tracey's Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street., Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199. In lieu of flowers, a memorial foundation may be made to a charity of your choice.
