Jeanette, Denise and family I was so sorry to hear about David. I had so many fun days at the Ewing household growing up.Your family was always so welcoming. David loved nothing better than a good laugh (except dancing ;)) and he a had a hearty laugh. I am thankful I had the great pleasure of knowing David. Funny story, July 2008, Russ' 50th surprise birthday party. Dave was responsible for keeping Russ occupied while we set up St. Agnes hall. I asked Dave to take him for a long drive and have him back to the hall by 8.30. Well 8.30 came along and no Dave and Russ. 9.30 and still no Dave and Russ. I was panicking and a little embarrassed thinking that Russ figured it out and wasn't going to show up. Finally at 10.00pm they show up. I asked Dave why they were so late. He said to me, "you wanted me to take him for a long drive, so we went to Camp Carter." LOL. We all had a great time that night. Thank you Dave for your devoted friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love you, miss you Russ and Linda

Sincerest condolences to Jeanette, Denise, Tammy, Paula, and Mark and their families on the loss of David. I will always remember his kindness, sense of humour, and welcoming spirit. I spent so much time in their house on Ling Street back in the eighties. Even though I am sure I overstayed my welcome, spent excessive time with Tammy, and ate way too many peanut butter sandwiches, he always greeted me warmly and made me feel like family. So welcoming and outgoing! God bless you all during this time of tremendous loss.

My deepest condolences going out to Jeanette Denise, Tammy, Paula and Mark on the passing of your husband and father.I was shock when I read this on Facebook David was my neighbor I lived below him in the basement apartment I play cards with him and Jeanette we had a ball he was the nices man you could ever meet always there to listen to you when you were down in the dumps we had some good times together just talking and playing cards he will be deeply miss by all who knew him gonna miss you buddy RIP David

Our hearts are so heavy. David was one of our dearest friends. We met David and Honey at the Dominion Legion on a Saturday night where we danced the night away. It soon turned in to a weekly event. Not only did we dance our Saturdays away we played many card games throughout the years . Know that we are thinking of you Honey, Denise, Tammy Paula and Mark. Bless you all. Gerry and Heather

I first met David when he came to New Waterford, we were both attending trade school at the time. You could always depend on Dave . To help you when you were running late. We were cooking for the whole trade school crowd,at the time and believe me the size of the pots and pans that had to be cleaned were huge and I had to do them, I would be exhausted from lifting and lugging and David always came and help not only me he helped everyone ,when his work was done he stroll around to see if we could help anyone else. Lunch time was always such fun ,he was always a Barrel of laughs, he was so funny I always loved him for that I always know how good he was and kind. Over the years when we would run into one another it was always a Hi Hon and a big bear hug . I never forgot your kindness David. RIP when your not dancing .

Is ending our condolences to Honey and the family. I attended many dances and witnessed the amazing dance moves of your father and mother. Not only great dancers but wonderful people to know. He so loved his girls and his son. I have never seen him with out that wicked smile or infectious laugher. He always put you in a good mood. You were so lucky to have him as a dad.
