MaryAnn & Family: So sorry to hear of the death of both parents within such a short period of time. Your loss must be immense, even knowing that they had long lives, and must have had a good relationship to have passed so close in date to one another. Margaret Yurkiw was a great friend to the Farmer Family for over half a century. She was an active member of the “Engineering Clan” in Bridgeview, who helped other Engineer’s Wives like our dear, departed Donna. And she extended friendly invites to Book Club to Donna, a voracious reader. Her lovely smile and amazing energy will be truly missed. The Farmer Family

Margaret made many stews for me to serve at Hope Cottage. She was always so willing to help with anything. We would see both her and Peter at OLPH and occasionally at Engineers socials. I have thought of them often as I drive up Flamingo Dr. May she Rest In Peace. Carol and Frank LeBlanc

Dear Yurkiw Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. As a member of the Glynn family, we lived across the road on Flamingo Drive. Your parents were always so lovely to visit. Always a smile and laugh, and very interesting conversations. Your mother was so creative. I had never seen a loom in my life until I saw your mother's and her woven fabrics. Also, loved to see their modern home with beautiful artwork and sculptures. It is so hard to think about this generation passing. As you say, it is the memories that will live on. Dear Yurkiw Family, This is a hard good bye to a wonderful woman. Margaret and Peter were terrific friends of my parents, John and Theresa Laffin, and I have fond memories of them socializing at each other’s homes. They even resided in the same retirement home as Mom in later years. Thinking of everyone during this very difficult time and acknowledging Margaret’s life well lived with Peter by her side.
