I sailed with Harry Carrigan in HMCS Iroquois in the early 1980's. An excellent sailor and man. Well liked by everyone and highly respected. I knew that Harry was in Camp Hill but with all the COVID restrictions one could never get in to visit him. I offer my condolences to Harry's family and his many friends at this time. Harry will not be forgotten for his support of the Navy and his time served. May all his good deeds be a Blessing in his Memory. RIP Harry. .

First, condolences to all of Harry's family and friends. I sailed with Harry on 2 ships back in the 60's and early 70's. He was a great sailor and tradesman. Everybody liked Harry. After I retired and joined the Commissionaires I would see Harry as the gatekeeper of city hall. The best ambassador HRM could ask for. Always sharply dressed and pleasantly
dealing with the public. Harry was a good man and I will miss him. RIP!

My name is Adam Fuller, I first came to know Harry in Cowie Hill in the late 70's and early 80's. Harry was the loving father of my first true love, Sheree. Growing up on Bromley Road, Harry was always a friendly face when i would knock on their door. Even though i was just a small child I have memories of Harry walking down the road coming from Dockyard. I later moved away on Chebucto road and remember seeing Harry as he walked all the way from Dockyard and he would always smile and say a cheerful hello. Harry you will be missed, thank you for good memories of my youth. Fair winds and following seas crossing the bar

Harry did a great job for the Commissionaires. It is my impression he was very well liked and respected by all those that worked at City Hall. Always received helpful information whenever I was there.

Because Harry was a kind, personable, caring, gentleman, he was the "Perfect' gate keeper at Halifax City Hall where he greeted everyone with kindness and pleasantries whether you were the mail boy or president of some major orgaization. He always had time to listen to a story or tell a better one himself! RIP Kind Gentleman. Winston and Barbara French, Dartmouth, NS and Huntingdon, Quebec.

I sailed with Harry on one or more ships in our younger years and he was a good man and a good friend. I see we are the same age,you don't think much about age when you are young and in your prime ,but you remember the good times and good friends along the way. RIP old mate.

I was saddened to read of Harry's passing. I sailed with him on the Fraser in the 80's and had lots of chats at City Hall, usually every other week. Harry rembered my name and always had a smile. He was well liked on the Fraser by all the guys, both lower ranked like me and senior ncos.
He was so friendly and personable. What a great Ambassador for the City of Halifax, standing as our Gatekeeper!
I will remember Harry fondly,
Brian Betts

I sailed with Harry on two ships in the 60's and early 70's. He was a great mate and tradesman. He always had smile on his face. He treated everyone with respect and I know that it was returned to Harry. We had shared alot of laughs back in the day.
I was pleasantly surprised years later when I joined the Commissionaires that Harry was the first person on duty you saw when you entered City Hall. He was an ambassador for Halifax. You could not have asked for better. Condolences to his family.
