We were so sad to hear of Uncle Harold's recent passing. I have many great memories of Uncle Harold over the years, but mostly I remember how much he made me laugh. He was a great guy and I'll really miss him. Our deepest condolences to Aunt Marge, Robert and family.

To Robert and all of Harold’s family,
Warren and lived next door to Harold and Helen and Robert when we were first married back in 1974.
Warren and Harold soon became hunting and fishing buddies and they continued to have many trips even after we moved to Hants country .
Harold would always arrive with a bag of candy treats for our girls.
We have many fond memories of his visits and the adventures he shared with Warren.
Such a gentleman!
May your many happy memories bring you comfort.

Harold, Carol Ann and I met Sept.1954 as entering students at Mount Allison University Class of '57. Harold and I became friends, took some classes together, had rooms in Trueman House, got into a scrape or two, and following graduation had the good fortune to become close neighbours in Dartmouth.
Following our move to Truro in 1970, contact with Harold and Margaret was limited years later to a dinner visit at our home along with fellow Allisonian Dutch Van Tassell and wife Caroline who were visiting from BC. Harold had learned that they were in the area and wasted no time in arranging a reunion. He was his usual ebullient self and took obvious pleasure in his success at setting up an opportunity for old friends to reminisce. I am grateful for his thoughtfulness in arranging this wonderful gathering and to be able to associate the pleasure of it with my last memory of him.
To his family members, Joan and I extend our sincere condolences.

To Margaret, Robert & family:
We were deeply saddened at the sudden passing of your dear husband, father and my beloved twin brother Harold whom we spoke to by telephone just hours before his sudden passing. He will be sorely missed by me and my husband Jim of North Vancouver and all our family here in British Columbia. Our daughter Heather (Vossen) and her husband Henry, sons Aaron and Jamie of Steveston, B.C., our son Bruce and his sons Cody and Jordan and wife Susan and daughter Eve of Maple Ridge, B.C., our son Andrew, his wife Brett and their children Andersen, Campbell, Harrison, Griffin and Piper of West Vancouver, B.C. will all miss him.
I have very fond memories of Harold and I growing up in our family home in Westville Nova Scotia and the many family outings we shared with Mum & Dad, especially on their wedding anniversary when we always went lake fishing on their special day. We continued doing those outings when Jim and were married. Harold we were together at Westville High and after graduation went on to Mount Allison University on our Sharpe Scholarships. We went on to our chosen careers, I into Social Work and you into Engineering which we continued until retirement. When Jim and I married in 1960 you were part of our celebration. Over the years, although separated by long distances we always enjoyed each others company and when we visited always reminisced about past times together. After Dad's passing and Mum came to live with us in North Vancouver, you visited her here whenever you could. She enjoyed those times together. May you rest in peace Harold and you are always in our hearts.

We were sad to hear of the passing of Uncle Harold, our Mum Carol’s twin brother. I have many wonderful memories of my uncle starting with my childhood visits with him, Aunt Helene and cousin Robert at their home on Booth Street. Many visits to Nova Scotia were spent with Uncle Harold and my dear grandparents! My most recent and cherished memory was when my younger son Jamie and I spent two weeks in PEI with him and Auntie Marge. Uncle Harold took us on a fishing excursion and cooked mackerel for us as only he could. He loved to laugh, have a good time and share some drinks. He was always so much fun. I like to think he is meeting up with Granny now and having a drink. He is having beer and she is having a sherry. Much love from all of us here in BC to Auntie Marge, Robert and family !

To Marge and all of your dear family….it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Harold my friend , Kipper’s daddy, he was so good to Kipper and both of them loved each other so much! Harold. Was my golf buddy…you know I will t really miss him…he was like a brother to me. I always appreciated his talents to fix all sorts of broken things. He sure knew how to decorate the house with lights at Christmas! And he loved to talk about his hunting trips with his buddies esp to NLFD. And his attention to detail knew no bounds! He was so smart! We had many talks about God ,Jesus and The Bible. And we prayed together about life and serving the Lord. I know Harold is with God today and we shall see him again so this gives me comfort.I am praying that you all will take joy in your memories of your life with him. He was a a great guy!We will not forget him ever!
