We the family of Francis Daniel McIsaac, 70, of Glace Bay regret to announce his passing on March 4, 2022, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Agnes (Roach) and Cornelius McIsaac.
Francis was a well-known mechanic in Glace Bay for many years. Before his passing he was a devoted Security Supervisor at the Glace Bay Hospital. He enjoyed gardening and his trips to the key West with his best friend and love of his life Monica (Whyte) MacIsaac. Francis was a man of few words; he loved to joke and make other people laugh.
Survived by his loving wife Monica of 14 years; daughters: Tanya McGrady (Robert),Danielle McIsaac (Billy) and stepdaughter Shauna MacArthur; stepson Darren O’Connell; sisters: Madeline Dillon, Josephine Nearing (Wayne) and Jeanette McIsaac (Adrien); brothers, Cornie McIsaac and Dan McIsaac; eight grandchildren: Kayla McIsaac (Cody), Rebecca McIsaac (Kyle), Emily McIsaac, Michael McIsaac, Aiden McIsaac, Zachary MacArthur (Kaitlyn), Grace MacArthur, and Connell MacArthur; five great-grandchildren: Miah, Adalyne, Ivan, Josie and Zakery, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Along with his parents, Francis was predeceased by sister, Louise McIsaac, brother, Joey McIsaac, and brother-in-law Gordon Dillon.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Francis will be held on Tuesday, March 8,2022, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Norman Mac Phee presiding at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
