It is with deep sorrow that the family of Colin Francis MacLean announce his sudden passing February 20, 2022, with his wife of 44 years (Margaret) by his side. Born in Sydney on November 8, 1948, to the late Angus and Pauline (McDaniel)MacLean.
He was a dedicated employee of the Sydney Steel Co. for over 30 years.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Margaret; children, Colleen (Richard) Glace Bay, Colin Jr. (Shakira),Ontario and Raymond (Candace), Alberta; grandchildren, Caleb, Angel, Peyton MacLean (Glace Bay) Mikaeel and Daliya Pauze, Alexander and Aydin MacLean (Ontario). Brothers, Al (Edna) (Aberta), David (Ontario); sisters, Georgina (Ontario), Barbara (John) (Ontario), Patricia (Ontario), sister-in-law Kay Sampson (Sydney), very close friends Jim and Colleen Pendlebury (Enfield), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides his parents Colin is predeceased by his sister Helen, brother Anslem and brother-in-law Eddy Sampson.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist,370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. 902-849-4199, with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating.
