My condolences to Michael's Family. Michael and I are first cousins but never really got to know each other but I do know he was a kind and gentle soul and was well liked by who ever he came in contact with. My heart goes out to his Mother, father sister and his family.

I did not get to know Michael. My mother was Rita Tutty. I am her daughter, Donna Halfyard (born o'Keefe). Unfortunately I did not get to know Michael since I have lived in Ontario for the greater part of my adult life. My sincere sympathy for the family - Bless all the family with such an horrific loss. What a tragedy. ! I will keep the family in my heart! There are no words that express how deeply I feel for the family during this devastating loss. It will seem so strange not to see Mike walking past on his way to Timmie's, rain or shine, 4 or 5 times a day. If we were out in the yard, we would chat with him..... always pleasant and kind. He will be missed.

To Michaels family !! My sincerest condolences, Our neighborhood has lost a kind gentle soul,who will be missed dearly, I'll miss our friendly conversations and friendly banter,I would tease him I was going to attach an odometer on him to see how many miles he puts on in a day walking to Tim Hortons,..Just know he was much loved by so many,his tragic death has us all wanting answers as to how this could have happened !! We didn’t know Michael but saw him walking to or from Tim Hortons on Kings Road to Heather Park many times. He seemed like such a kind soul and dedicated to his walks not realizing until now that he was also dedicated to looking after his grandparents. Sometimes it’s easy to see the soul of a person through their actions even from a distance. Hearing the news we thought about this man who walked daily and hoped it wasn’t him. We will miss seeing him and his kind face. We now know his story. A huge, tragic loss. Our condolences to Michael’s family. Donna and Alfred Dinaut

I would like to express my condolences to Michael's family. My name is Darlene Hannigan and I live on the trailer park just up the road. I got to know Michael from occasionally driving him to tim Horton and having nice conversation with him. He was well known to everyone. Michael was and still is a kind gentle soul. Michael for everyone that knew you . We are so going to miss seeing you on your walks everyday. And talking to you. We'll God must of needed another angle because that is what you are is a angle. So now you have your wing's now fly with all the other angels. I will miss you. R.I.P my friend

Joan Morrison- Heather Estates Michael will be missed.. If he was on his way to Tim's passing my home and noticed me arriving with groceries, he would rush to help -taking them in and even put them away. We were deeply heartbroken to read this news of Mike's passing. Mike would pass by our house 3-5 times daily on his walk to get his coffee. Always a smile for us and a little chat. He was, indeed, a very kind soul. He helped neighbors with their lawn care and winter mess. I sure do hope there is a Tim Horton's in heaven. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
