Linda Sheppard

Glace Bay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Linda (Gale) Sheppard on February 9, 2022 at home.

Born in Glace Bay on December 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Alexander ‘Sandy’ and Marguerite( Kennedy) Gale.

Left to grieve are her two children Richard (Beth) and Sandra; her brother, David Gale and her best friend and sister, Deanna Campbell. Mom had nine grandchildren, whom she thought the world of, Justin, Megan,Samantha, Matthew, Emily, Katie, Daniel, Damin and Autumn; seven great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband Jack; son, David; brother James Gale.

We would like to thank the VON and the Palliative Care Team for being so wonderful during this time. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Michael Gallivan, whom she truly adored. Thank you to all those who have expressed condolences, reached out through phone calls, and sent gifts, it has been very much appreciated.

Mom was very political, as we all knew and I am sure she is haunting Justin Trudeau as I write this.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service, burial will take place at a later date.
