Jean enjoyed a long teaching career of 40 years beginning in Central School and retiring from St. Anne’s School, Glace Bay. She taught in many schools throughout her career with the Cape Breton Victoria Regional Center for Education. She was an admired and respected educator. Jean loved baking for her church charities, spending time in Mira and enjoyed a great evening having many laughs with her close friends. You could always count on a warm and inviting welcome when you came to her house, a hot cup of tea and a homemade sweet treat. Jean was a kind, caring, compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and neighbor. Her philosophy was if she was able to do good for anyone, she would do it at a moment's notice without hesitation and never expect anything in return.
