Obituary of Jacci Saccary

Jacqueline (Jacci) Rochelle Saccary, 43 Dominion It is with heavy hearts we the family of Jacqueline (Jacci) Rochelle Saccary, announce her passing at the Glace Bay Healthcare Facility, on February 8, 2022, with her father at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jacci was born in Ontario but raised in Glace Bay. Jacci was a devoted, loving wife and caregiver to her husband Shawn. A loving mother and role model to her beautiful daughters, Rebecca (Sean), Kimberly Saccary and Amy (Tyler). Jacci demonstrated strength, courage, and resilience in which she passed down to her girls. Jacci loved and cherished her grandchildren: Nikale, Emily, Madelyn, and Shaun Daniel. Jacci is also survived by her parents of choice, Michael, and Catherine “Tossie” Saccary; sisters, Michelle (Rob) Strong, Nicole (Dave Corbett) and best friend and sister, Patricia Knox. Also surviving are her niece Brittany Saccary, and nephew Lucas Saccary, as well as dear friend Kendra Hill. Jacci was predeceased by her loving husband and soul mate, Shawn Saccary; grandparents, Jack, and Pauline Campbell; and brother Derrick. Jacci’s family would like to thank the staff at Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre, and 4 South at the Glace Bay General Hospital, EHS, and VON. An incredibly special thank you to Dr. D’Intino, who was always there for Jacci, along with the team of the Palliative Care Unit, your compassion and never-ending support will never be forgotten. To all our friends and family who have shown us so much love and encouragement throughout this difficult journey, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Visitation for Jacci will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, February 14, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dorothy Miller presiding. COVID-19 restrictions do apply. Proof of double vaccination and Government ID will be required. Masks are Mandatory.
