Obituary of David Fabian Burke

David Fabian Burke,66 Glace Bay It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our dad, David Fabian Burke of Glace Bay, on January 26, 2022, at home. Dad was born in Baleine, N.S. to the late George and Gert Burke. David adored life, listening to country music (George Jones being David’s favourite), he liked to watch hockey on T.V. with Montreal Canadians as his much-loved team, and appreciated the outdoors. David was a volunteer at Glace Bay Food bank for many years and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. David will be remembered as being a very humble man, who enjoyed bringing a smile to others with his sense of humour. David is survived by his son, David Burke Jr; daughter, Danielle Hall; stepson, Shaun Hall; grandson Caleb; as well as sisters, Rosemarie, and Della; brothers, Ronnie, Brian, Eddie, and good friend, Marjorie Hall. Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his grandson Ethan Hall, brother Leonard and sister Bernadette. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association/Heart & Stroke Foundation. A special thank you to Dr.’s Stephanie and Mark Ellerker, as well as the Paramedics, for all that you have done. We would like to give a very special thank you to Glace Bay Food Bank for welcoming our dad into their family, where he met many forever friends. There will not be any service at this time.
