I spent many trips up to Sobeys Head Office with Carman back in the "Bye the Sea" tuna years. Always a gentleman and a good guy. Rest in Peace.

Sorry to hear about Carman's passing.
Carman's office was next to my father's (Donald) at A.G. Brown and Son and I always looked forward to seeing him when visiting. Loved his sense of humour, his dry wit and his genuine personality. He'd see me in the office and say, "Hey Boy, come in and sit down, I want to talk to ya." I'd sit down, expecting to hear a profound speech or life lesson. "Close the door. Now I've got to ask ya....who dresses your father in the morning?" Haaaahaha! I would be in stitches, laughing. "He's got a striped tie with a plaid shirt on. He obviously gets dressed in the dark." We'd look at my Dad through the neighboring glass window and have the best laugh. He was a special guy.
Sincerest condolences to Carman's family.

I knew Carmen when he was Manager of Dominion store at Bayers Rd. Whenever I saw him there, he would stop for a chat. He was a handsome dude too. The relatives loved visiting him and Anna at their summer home. He was always welcoming. My sincere sympathy to Tina, Mark, Harold and Frances, as well as all the rest of his relatives and friends.

Family of Carman Riley, When i was in high school/ university, I worked at the Dominion Store on Canal Street and the Dominion at the Dartmouth shopping Centre. One of the managers I so fondly remember is Mr. Riley. He was always focussed on the job ,had a twinkle in his eye, had a great sense of humour plus he always wore the whitest coat! Reading his obit, I’m glad he never lost his zest for life....Jean Lovett Llewellyn
