Babe, I can’t begin to explain how much I miss you. This has been the longest two days of my life. I hope you know I tried everything I could to save you. I would give anything to have more time with you. The 17 years we had together were beautiful, but they weren’t enough. If it wasn’t for the two children we made together, I don’t think I could go another day without you. I’m trying to do everything you said you wanted, and make sure your wishes are honoured. I hope that you’d be proud. There is no one else like you, and you were my knight in shining armour. Ps My cooking still sucks. Send help.

My heart goes out to Jillian and the kids. Im so shocked. I got the opportunity to work with Sheldon for a long time, Jillian too. They are beautiful people who made a beautiful family , with beautiful children. My heart hurts so much to know this. I cried so much i had to write this over. My heart hurts for you all. Sheldon was a wonderful friend, wonderful father and great man.

I am so heartbroken to hear this news. I worked with Sheldon and Jillian for 10 years. They were and will always be part of my Spryfield Sobeys work family. I remember when I first met Sheldon. He was such a hard worker and always so focused on work that he barely spoke but as time went on I got to know his sarcastic personality and sense of humour. I was reminiscing with Shawna about all the times we would bug him to get us McDonalds for morning break lol. Their wedding was a blast. I can still picture Jillian’s stunning gown and how happy and proud he was to marry her. Sending my deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jillian, the kids, her family and Sheldon’s parents and family. I am so sorry.

Stephanie and I were such good friends growing up. I spent so much time with the Rowsell family and Sheldon was like a little brother to me. He used to like to torment chasing with salamanders and any other creepy-crawlers he could find under rocks. Over the years we’d have little run-ins with each other and have brief conversations about life and family. He was such a proud father and husband. My heart breaks for the family and all that they’ve been through over the years. I remember being at the side of my friend Stephanie when Sheldon had his first surgery and it was surreal and just the beginning of such a long fight. I hope that the path will shine a little brighter with time. He has been through more than anyone should have to endure. Sending so much love and strength! ❤️

I spent a lot of years working with Sheldon and we shared a lot of laughs and some days a little bicker lol. Sheldon and Jill net at Sobeys and it was pretty special. They got married and then had two beautiful children When Madison was born, j remember Sheldon bringing Madison up to visit us in her red wagon. He was so proud of his family. Sometimes in life someone steps into your path and leaves a lasting impression upon your heart. Sheldon did that for us. His battle with cancer was daily covered by our prayers. He fought it bravely. Sheldon and I spent basically every summer together as kids. Three months apart in age and I remember one family vacation while visiting at their house loosing teeth and waiting for the tooth fairy. We caught tadpoles together and I thought that was the most fun and exciting thing. I’d help Sheldon hunt for worms to go fishing… that part I hated because I hated the idea of using the worms as bait… insert Sheldons eye roll. Memories of countless camping adventures, fishing, first trips to Disney, movie nights, and just hanging out. My heart is aching for Jill, Madison and Nolan as they journey the road in front of them. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Uncle Owen, Aunt Sharon, Stephanie and family, Jill’s parents and sister and family, and to the rest of the multitude of family and friends who are aching at his loss.

So sorry for your loss. Sheldon will always be my little cousin who loved grasshopper (he said grasshopper a little funny) hunting with a butter container with holes cut in the lid so they could still breathe but not jump out ❤️ Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
