Obituary of Robert Kendall Nicholson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired Master Bombardier, Robert “Bob” Kendall Nicholson (62) on November 13th 2021, at the QEII Victoria General site in Halifax surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, NS, Bob was one of four children born to the late, Albert & Erna Nicholson (Wambolt).
Bob joined the Canadian Armed Forces at age 18 where he served as a Field Artillery Gunner. His military career involved travelling where he was posted to Lahr, Germany as well as posted to CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick. As a retired member of the Forces Bob then spent his remaining years working with the Commissionaires in Halifax, NS.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Annie (Lawlor), Lower Sackville; son, Kyle (Erica), Lower Sackville; daughters, Ashley Nicholson, Edmonton, Amber Nicholson, Moncton; sisters, Alberta (Phillip) Ferguson, Edmonton & Mae (Brent) Stone, Sydney; brother, Arthur (Bev) Nicholson, Dartmouth. As well as several aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, and extended family.
There will be no visitation at this time however a Celebration of life will be held in Sydney, NS at a later date.
In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their Thanks and Gratitude to the Nurses, Doctors, and support staff at the QEII Victoria General site 3B for their continuous care given during this difficult time.
