Mary Lorraine Madore (MacKinnon)
Glace Bay
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful Mom, Mary Madore, age 81 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on October 27, 2021. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Neil and Sarah Jane (O’Handley) MacKinnon.
She was a special lady who was genuinely loved by all. She will be lovingly missed by her three sons, Joey, Robbie, and Gary. She was a wonderful grandmother to her two grandchildren, Leland and Jaedyn who held a special place in her heart.
She will also be missed by her siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends especially her special friend of 68 years Pat (Al) MacDougall as well as her Tim’s buddy, Judy Cameron.
Mary worked at the IGA grocery store for many years and later at New Dawn Homecare. She was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing, bowling, attending mass, spending time with family and friends, having fun, and making people laugh. Mary was a Blue Jays fan and recently had a wonderful trip to Toronto to watch them play.
