With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the sudden passing of Tommy " Doolay " Holloway, 64, of Glace Bay, on Monday October 18, 2021. Born in Glace Bay March 11, 1957, he was the son of the late Melvin & Marg Holloway.
Tommy loved to spend his time fishing and hunting at the bungalow and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. Over the years Tommy played baseball, hockey, and darts. He appreciated spending his time with family and friends, and his friends from up at the bungalow; Tommy loved cooking for family barbeques. Dad enjoyed having a beer and spending time in the garage with Darren; and was always filled with happiness when his grandsons came for a visit.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna; son: Darren (Leigh); Daughter Cindy (David). Brothers: Kevin (Darlene), Blaine; sister: Brenda (Dougie); and grandsons: Zackery, Lucas, Xander and soon to arrive grandson, Lincoln Thomas;his goddaughter, Raylene Morrison-Bolig; his beloved dog Scout; as well as several nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, Tommy was also predeceased by his father-in-law George Jones, as well as his dog Snoopy.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Gallivan, Dad's family physician: to the doctors and nurses at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and the QE11, Halifax; as well as the staff of EHS, for all the compassion and care given to our dad and family at this most challenging time.

As per Tommy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation for Tommy will begin at 10 a.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 22, 2021,with Lt. John Burton officiating, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
