Obituary of Liz MacDonald

Mary Elizabeth MacDonald Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth ‘Liz’ MacDonald on Oct. 16, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, age 42. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Ted MacDonald. Affectionately known as Liz, she had a passion for music, her favorite being Bryan Adams and loved her family and friends dearly. Liz enjoyed a good cup of tea, she was very kind hearted and funny person. She had a love for all animals especially her cats. Liz will be missed by all who knew her. Liz is survived by her brother, Steven, MacDonald; fiancé John Murphy; her loving children, who were her life, Tommy and Samantha; her best friends, Shirley MacDonald and Yvonne Traboulsee; as well as many friends she has made over the years. Steven would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the CBRH and Bud’s Taxi for all they have done for Liz. Donations may be made to the Diabetic Association. Rest in Peace, may the eternal light shine within you and fly high with the angels. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
