Please share a memory of Sherry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that the family of Sherry Ann Lush, age 66, announce her passing on October 7, 2021 at the QEII VG site, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sherry was born on July 27, 1955, she is survived by her parents, Archie, and Marjorie (Goudie) Lush. She also leaves behind her daughter, Sarah Rygiel, who walked along side her Mom every step of the way during her courageous journey. Sherry left the biggest piece of heart with us, the love and pride she had for her grandchild, Ben Rygiel. Sherry loved the outdoors, camping, road-trips, music and live concerts. In her younger years she travelled to Bermuda, exploring the beaches and local markets. She loved to read and the company of her beloved pets. She spent the past summer making cherished memories with her daughter, exploring parts of Nova Scotia. From morning coffee at the dingle before appointments to Queensland beach to Antigonish. A memorable stay at the Marmalade Motel in Sheet Harbour with her daughter and spending time with her best friend, Cathy Rouse, who stood by her side during her journey we thank you for being there. Sherry did not let her diagnosis slow her down and she enjoyed the sun, the ocean and always did things, her way. We all miss you so much. Sherry was an LPN nurse and spent her younger years working at the VG Hospital in many roles. During the latter part of her career Sherry worked for Agulis and Bayshore, she treated her coworkers like friends, clients and candidates alike benefited from her strong work ethic. A special thank you to Leah Reynolds, Gillian Osborne and Karen Lloyd for the support and kindness to Sherry and her family. There are many friends and extended family who share in our grief and are thanked for all their support. The Lush and Goudie families. Tara Horsman, Kylie Stubbort (Liam), Karen Morash and Robbie Kinnaird. A special thank you to Dr. Ross Mason and Megan Summerfield and the entire oncology and palliative care team for the exceptional care. Thank you to the East Coast Plant Community for the support and kindness received. You are all truly angels among us. In keeping with the family's wishes there will be no service.
