Obituary of Cheryl Anne Freeman

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with sad hearts that we announce Cheryl’s passing on September 26 from chronic health conditions. Born in Goose Bay, NFLD, she was the daughter of Keith Freeman and the late Karen (Miller) Freeman. Cheryl grew up in Sydney River, Cape Breton, and later moved to Dartmouth, NS. Besides her father Keith (stepmother Edie), Cheryl is survived by beloved daughter Haley Dooks, a brother Roger (Michelle) Freeman, niece Jessica Freeman, and many loved aunts, uncles, cousins. She was a talented, warm soul with a love for crafting, animals, and travelling. She loved shopping and anything that sparkled. Her laugh and smile were contagious and could light up a room. She spent her life working for many companies as an accountant. Cheryl spent her last years at Maritime Travel, which allowed her to take many trips and gain beautiful memories with friends and coworkers. We are sad with the loss, but happy for Cheryl to be reunited with her mother and best friend, Karen. We are sure they are sitting on the beaches in heaven together watching over us. Cheryl will be remembered like the bright colors of the sunset. A private service will be held for family on Saturday, October 2 followed by an open gathering Celebration of Life at Rainbow Haven Beach at 3pm. Donations in memory of Cheryl can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.ca/Donate.
