Rose 'Old Ma' Marie Sullivan Glace Bay Rose 'Old Ma' Marie Sullivan, age 89 of Glace Bay passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Palliative Care Unit in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay she was daughter of the late Jack and Beatrice Neary. Rose’s favourite pastime was doing word searches, watching wrestling, playing TV bingo, and listening to music. Rose is survived by her five children Francis (Rhonda), Johnny (Maureen), Rose (Glenn) MacDonald, Jimmy (Annette), and Edward (Sheri). Also left to mourn are her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and her best friend of 40 years Theresa Burns. She was predeceased by her husband Francis ‘Wank’ Sullivan and 3 sons in infancy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating all taking place at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902-849-4199) Burial to take place in St. John’s Cemetery, Wallace Rd. Glace Bay.
