Obituary of Marguerite Rhodes

Marguerite Rhodes Dominion The family of Marguerite Rhodes of Dominion, regret to announce her sudden passing on September 15, 2021. Born in Glace Bay, June 10, 1943. Marguerite was the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve (MacDonald) Gardiner. Margie and her husband moved from Cape Breton at an early age, and settled in Paris, Ontario, where they worked and raised two fine young men. Margie’s heart was always in Cape Breton, and after the death of her husband, decided to come home. She was a beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who loved everyone unconditionally. Margie was a woman of faith, who had a truly kind heart and an infectious laugh. She had a great love for animals, especially her most recent pet, Emily. Margie will be missed tremendously by her sons, Charles (Donna) and Francis (Lil), both of Ontario; also left to mourn Margie are her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; Sisters: Marie, Theresa, Anne, Rita, Bertha, Bernadette, and Joan; Brothers: Francis, Terry, Eddie, Eugene, Paul, and Kevin; and many nieces, and nephews; along with a very special Aunt; Sister Joseph Marie. Besides her parents, Margie was predeceased in 1994 by her husband Charles, and brothers, Robert, and Allie. Visitation for the late Marguerite Rhodes will take place on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow with Rev. Allan MacMillan presiding, all at T.J.
