Jackson Fortin and Emma Lemieux
It is with shattered hearts we the family regret to announce the sudden, unexpected passing of all our beloved; James "Jim" Grant Fletcher, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather; Shellie Marie Fletcher-Lemieux, daughter, sister, aunt, mother and wife; Jackson Fletcher Fortin, grandson, nephew, son, cousin; Emma Marie Lemieux, granddaughter, niece, daughter, cousin. On Sept 2, 2021, the family passed together in Beauport, Quebec City, due to a motor vehicle collision, caused by a drunk driver; without any pain or fear.
Jim, 68 of Dominion, formerly Glace Bay, son of the late Anna (Grant) and Russell Fletcher, was born January 20, 1953, in Glace Bay, NS. He leaves behind to mourn, his dedicated and loving wife of 47 yrs., Anne Marie (Burroughs), son David and daughter-in-law, Janice and family, grandchildren, Marissa (Brandon), Ethan, Carley; great-granddaughter, Ella. Also left to mourn sisters Kathy, Cynthia; brothers, Everett (Shirley) and Danny (Judy); mother-in-law, Carmel Burroughs; sisters-in-law, Francine (Steve), Cathy, Leanna (Steve), brothers-in-law Joey (Theresa), Brian (Brenda), Johnny (Dea) along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers, as well as their beloved dog, Charlie.
Shellie 44, of Quebec, formerly Glace Bay, daughter of Anne Marie and the late Jim Fletcher, was born June 17, 1977 in Glace Bay, NS. She leaves behind to mourn all of the afore mentioned, as well as her husband Jean-Dominic Lemieux, special friend Daniel Fortin, father of Jackson along with many close friends and relatives.
Jackson 14, of Quebec, son of Shellie and Dan, was born February 17, 2007 in Sydney, NS.
Emma 10, of Quebec, daughter of Shellie and Dominic, was born August 26, 2011, in Quebec. Jackson and Emma were the light and center of their mother’s world and adored by their fathers. So full of life and love, they leave many family and friends behind to mourn them.
Jim, Shellie and her children were predeceased by Jim's parents, Anna and Russell Fletcher, father-in-law Neil Burroughs Sr., brother- in-law, Henry Boutilier; niece Lynda Boutilier and nephew, Neil Burroughs Jr.
A special thank you to all of the first responders, doctors, nurses and hospital staff who so compassionately cared for our loved ones and us at our time of need. Thank you to the funeral director at Wilbrod Robert, Gaberial, whose dignity and respect shown to the family, and huge heart carried us through our most difficult days so far from home. Thank you as well to TJ Tracey's Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Wilbrod Robert Inc., Beauport, Quebec.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11: 00 to 2:00p.m. with a service to follow at 2 : 00 p.m. with Joeanna Pickup officiating all taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
