Obituary of Annie Angeline Michalik

Annie Angeline Michalik, 85 Glace Bay It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of a loving wife and mother, Annie Angeline Michalik, of Glace Bay, at the tender age of 85. Annie passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021, at the Glace Bay Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Reserve Mines, Annie was the daughter of the late Raymond and Annie Borgal Over the years Annie worked at Highland Fisheries, and later became a Crossing Guard; she then became a School Lunchroom Supervisor. Annie was a kind, loving wife, and mother, who loved keeping busy. She enjoyed going for walks and taking drives. Annie also appreciated family time at home; baking apple pies and playing bingo. She adored animals, particularly cats and birds. Annie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Walter; daughters’, Janet, and Juanita (Paul). She is also survived by sisters: Theresa, Margie (Dan); brother, Raymond (the late Rose); as well as several nieces, nephews; and sisters’ and brothers-in-law. Special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing staff at Glace Bay Hospital; to Dr. Wong and Nursing staff of the ICU unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. We would also like to thank Dr. Ley for the care provided to Annie over the years. At mom's request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199. Funeral Service will be held at St. Anne's Church on Wednesday, September 15. 2021 at 10 a.m., with Fr. Duaine Devereaux presiding. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’sCemetery.
