Obituary of Eddie Ball

Edward George Ball, 80 Glace Bay It is with great sorrow, that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Eddie Ball on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Balls Creek, he was the son of the late George and Minnie (Henrich) Ball, and special mom, Reta Ball. He was a long-time employee of Sydney Steel, and member of St. Anne’s Parish. Eddie was a loving and caring husband; he was cherished by his family and many friends; Eddie was the most thoughtful and loved brother, always helping everyone. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Edie. He is also survived by his brother Kevin Ball; two sisters’: Judie (Roland) Weiler of Ont.; and Kathy (Mike) Nicoletopoulos, of Bedford, N.S; nieces, Maggie, and Tara; nephews, Nikolas, and Chad; as well as many cousins and longtime friend, Hector Campbell. Besides his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his brother Laurie. Visitation for the late Eddie Ball will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 12-1 p.m., at T.J. Tracey Family Funeral Home, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m., with Fr. Norman McPhee presiding. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay.
