Age 76, of St. John’s passed away August 31st, 2021 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of Thomas and Kathleen Dwyer. Pat worked as an LPN at the Waterford hospital and retired after 25 years in 2005. She thoroughly enjoyed her work and made many lifelong friends. After her retirement, Pat and her husband Reg moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to their 3 daughters and grandchildren. Pat enjoyed and made the most out of the small things in life. She loved reading, knitting, and just sitting out on the porch chatting with neighbours. She also kept busy with her 6 grandchildren, her pride and joy. She loved spending time with them and telling them stories. She embraced all their friends and always made them feel welcome in her home. Pat was a rock to us all and will be truly missed and forever loved. Pat was survived by her husband Reginald of 54 years; daughters, Kathy (Cindy) Bennett-Rose, Sharon (Simon) Hurd and Kelly (Tony) O’Brien; grandchildren, Loughlin, Sebastian, Joshua, Tamsen, Devin and Cian, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, James Dwyer and sister, Jean Bursey. There will be a funeral service held on September 9th, 2021, at 11:00am in St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish, 18 Scholars Rd., Upper Tantallon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A thank you to Pat’s special friends, Pam Dillon, Barb George, Rod Strait, and many others.
