Mary F. Colson, 67
Glace Bay
It is with deep sadness and broken hearts, that we announce the sudden death of Mary F. Colson, 67, of Glace Bay, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with her family at her side. Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Dawe) Sullivan.
Her vibrant personality made Mary the life and energy of any party; she had a love for camping and made many dear friends throughout the years of camping; she enjoyed Bingo, as well as singing, and dancing.
Mary’s pride and joy was her daughter Kim, and grandson, Jesse. She was Jesse’s person, his playmate whenever she could visit him. Mary also loved to hang out with friends on a Friday night; in the winter they would play darts or shoot a game of pool. Mary was a bright energy, who would help anyone and everyone when she could. Mary will be missed tremendously by her countless number of family, and friends.
Mary is survived by her husband and soulmate of 43 years, Michael “Allie” Colson; daughter: Kimberly (Colson)(Chris) Tobin, Red Deer, AB; grandson: Jesse Tobin.
Mary is also survived by brothers’: Tom, Raymond “Tiny”, and Clarence; sisters’: Kay, Sadie, Hazel, and Pat.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her siblings: Oswald “Ossie”, Don, Clifford, Robert, Francis “Wank”, and Lillian.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Autism Society.
