Obituary of Mary Timmons

Mary Mildred Timmons Port Morien It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and sister Mary Mildred Timmons on July 12,2021 at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born January 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Viva Robinson. Mom spent many happy years living at Bayview Senior Citizens in Port Morien. Her door was always open to family and friends to enjoy a cup of tea and a visit. Later she moved to Seaview Manor where her new friends and their families brought her great pleasure. She enjoyed her evenings watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Mary is survived by her daughters, Belinda (John R.) Clements, Annie (Kerry) MacLeod and son, Eric (Martha) Timmons. Her pride and joy were her five grandsons, Jim (Tanya), Conor (Emily), Brett, Jamie (Scott) and Nicholas; her sister Dawn (Donald) Perrier; step great granddaughter Hannah MacNeil as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Tom MacDonald and sister-in-law, Josie Robinson. Mom was predeceased by her husband James in 1966. Beloved son Bernard, and cherished granddaughter, Sarah, sisters Avada (Redmond) Timmons, Elaine (Rod) Hardy, Colleen MacDonald, and brother Vinal Robinson. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay (902-849-4199). A Memorial Service will be held Monday July 19, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Biggar officiating. Burial to take place at later date. We would like to thank the staff of Seaview Manor for their care and kindness to our mother. She was always looked after. Thank you all.
